Jose Mourinho sure his Chelsea youngsters will be England stars of the future

Mourinho’s boast comes despite the arrival of foreign finished articles Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis this summer.

Meanwhile, the departure of Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole has thinned the English ranks at Stamford Bridge yet further.

But ’The Special One’ is adamant that the homegrown youngsters coming through Chelsea’s multi-million pound Cobham training base are pretty special too.

And Mourinho even went as far as saying he will be to blame if England are not relying on Chelsea products in time for the next World Cup which is scheduled for Roman Abramovich’s Russian homeland.

Rejecting the claim he has too many foreign imports in his team, Mourinho said: ”My conscience is clear. For example, I could to mention to you Lewis Baker, Izzy Brown, Dominic Solanke: I think if in a few years they are not national team players, I should blame myself.

”They are part of a process the club started without me, during that period. At this moment we have players who will be Chelsea players. And when they become Chelsea players, they will become England players, almost for sure.”
