The 21-year-old joined the Blues’ academy in 2006 when he was just seven years old.

Rice isn’t the only player on the Blues’ radar, though, with Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell also in their sights.

Havertz has been in stunning form for Bayer Leverkusen over in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 12 goals and registering six assists from 30 league games.

Chilwell, meanwhile, is seen as the ideal replacement for Emerson Palmieri – who is expected to join Juventus in the summer transfer window.
