Chelsea have enjoyed a storming start to the summer transfer window already.

It was announced months ago that Hakim Ziyech would be joining, with the Ajax star enjoying a terrific campaign before the Eredivisie was scrapped as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

Since then Chelsea have acted swiftly to secure the arrival of Timo Werner, who has joined from RB Leipzig in a £53million deal.

But Lampard isn’t done yet. He wants to bring the good times back to Stamford Bridge and is dreaming of ending Liverpool’s time as Premier League champions next season.

At the moment, it’s they who are in pole position to finish in the Champions League qualification spaces.

They went into Thursday’s clash with Manchester City knowing they had to win, particularly after Manchester United’s 3-0 thumping of Sheffield United.
