Frank Lampard is considering leaving out Ross Barkley for Chelsea’s Champions League trip to Valencia amid concerns over his behaviour and fitness.

The Blues were set to train before flying to Spain on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the crucial Group H clash, with Barkley hoping to feature for the first time since October 19 due to an ankle problem.

However, Barkley was pictured topless in a Dubai nightclub during the international break. The 25-year-old had permission to travel and was not caught up in any trouble, but it is the second time this season he has attracted off-field attention, following an incident with a cab driver in September.

On that occasion, Lampard opted to allow Barkley to travel with the squad to Lille but then dropped him from the matchday squad.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was facing a late fitness check on a hamstring problem.
