N’Golo Kante limped out of France’s World Cup qualifier in Bulgaria with what seemed to be a hamstring injury.

In another injury blow for Antonio Conte, the midfielder was forced off in the first half, being replaced by Adrien Rabiot.

He held the back of his leg as he made his way back to the bench and looked in some discomfort.

Kante has proved to be a pivotal part of the Blues’ side since his switch from Leicester prior to the start of last season.

He has struck up a partnership with Tiemoue Bakayoko in central midfield for Chelsea this term, helping them to fourth in the Premier League after seven games.

The injury follows that of Alvaro Morata who limped off during the defeat to Manchester City before the international break.

It comes at a busy time for Chelsea with six games between next weekend, when they play Crystal Palace, and the end of the month.

He wasn’t the only big-name Premier League player to pick up an injury on international duty on Sunday.
