A number of Premier League stars have been nominated for the 2017 Ballon d’Or award.

France Football are announcing a 30-man list of nominees on Monday and players representing Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham have made the cut.

N’Golo Kante, Eden Hazard, Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, David De Gea, Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane were named on the shortlist, with France Football revealing more nominees over the course of the afternoon.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in pole position to win the coveted award, with Lionel Messi and Gianluigi Buffon second and third favourites respectively.

Portugal superstar Ronaldo lifted his fourth Ballon d’Or last year and another win would bring him level with Barcelona legend Messi.
